Libraries
To Find Articles: Go to your library website and using your library card, log in.
You can use the sites to find and reserve books online, although you'll actually have to visit the library to pick up your selections. There's a lot of material that is NOT on the Internet, so it is a good idea to look at print resources as well as online ones.
For online resources, find the Find the section of your library's site that links to Research.
- Toronto Public Library: http://www.torontopubliclibrary.ca/
Go to Books, Videos, Research & more > Articles & Online Research and enter your keywords. Some databases require your library card.
- Vaughan Public Library: http://www.vaughanpl.info/index.php
Go to Books, Materials & Research Tools > Databases (click More), Recommended Links or Special Collections. Some databases require your library card.
- Markham Public Library: http://www.city.markham.on.ca/mpl/
Click on any of the links at the left, then click on Online Databases (in the middle). You'll need your library card.
- Richmond Hill Public Library: http://www.rhpl.richmondhill.on.ca/RHPL/
Click on E-Resources and choose OneSearch or E-Resource List. You will need your library card.
- Hamilton Public Library: http://www.myhamilton.ca/public-library
Go to Online Resources and use the simple search box or categories at the left.
